I just left the Watson Baptist Church Outreach building. I had the honor of fixing supper for 6 tired and hungry men. The Baptist Builders once again are spending the night in our church building. Four of them are sheet rocking a house that was flooded in Corning, MO. The other two were wiring a house that was flooded in Langdon and recently moved to Rock Port. They have worked since the beginning, cleaning the mud out of these houses, then tearing out the old muddy sodden sheet rock and are now in the process of rebuilding these homes. These people do all this work for nothing. They are Baptists who are retired from their lifelong jobs and spend their time helping others in disasters. They go around the country and do this work for free. Tonight it was just men, but most of them bring their wives, too, and they work right along side of their husbands. They all have been trained to do this type of work. These folks do not get enough appreciation. Half the people in the county don't even know who they are or what they are doing. I think a great big "THANK YOU" is in order. Thanks, guys and gals for all the hard work you do.
