A funny thing happened to me on the way home from the airport yesterday. My husband drove down there, but I had to drive home alone. I'm a country hick and do not drive well in the city. So with traffic zooming all around me, I began to tense up. I turned on the radio, hoping the noise would relax me. The song that was playing(it was an older song; I'd heard it before) was about a man raising his son alone, and he told God, "I don't think I can do this." God said, "I'm here with you, so keep your hands on the wheel and stay between the lines." I laughed out loud. I said, "Ok, God, I got it. Thanks." I chuckled all the way home and it was a pleasant trip.

TRACKS
When I was young, just by showing me tracks, my Dad could tell me every animal that had passed through our yard the night before. I was more fascinated by the tracks than actually seeing the animal. I still like to identify every animal by his tracks.
We all make different tracks in this world. Perhaps we leave impressionable tracks and perhaps we leave tracks of shame. None of us leave perfect tracks.
Jesus must have made many tracks traveling from town to town during his lifetime. His are the only perfect tracks made in the history of time.
Ecclesiastes 7:20 says, "For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeths good, and sinneth not."
We all have sinned. No perfect tracks for us. BUT, we could spend our lives trying to follow the tracks of Jesus.
I Kings 8:61 says, "Let your heart be perfect with the Lord, our God, to walk in His statues, and to keep His commandments, as at this day."
Isaiah 64:6 says, "But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
This verse tells us how imperfect we are, but for grace, we would all be lost.
Romans 6:14 says, "For sin shall not have dominion over you, for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."
Keep your tracks aimed on the perfect tracks of Jesus. Colossians 1: 21-22 says, "And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath He reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in His sight."
Follow His tracks and He will present you unblameable in God's sight.

ODE TO THE MOSQUITO
Ok, all you folks,
this is what I heard,
Rod made it official,
the mosquito is the town bird.
It only takes 2 or 3
of the Watson breed
to carry you off
and when they succeed,
they drain you dry
and seal your fate.
In a twinkling of an eye
you're at Heaven's gate.
You plead with St. Peter,
"Are there mosquitoes up here, my friend?
Cause if there are NOT,
then PLEASE let me in."
